Delete the Spam-tagged Mails |
| Delete the Spam-tagged Mail You may view that lot of mails comes tagged with the subject '***SPAM****', this is very much annoying, so our goal is to send such type of mails to the trash. For that there is already a rule in spamassassin which will give high spam scores for mail coming in with the subject ***SPAM***. Sometimes the user asks that such type of mails should never reach to their inbox, they should be always deleted at the server level. There is option in spamassassin under the head Spam Processing, Remove: which deletes the spam email so when the client performs a send/recieve, they will never see the email. But for the most of the time, this option is not suggested as sometimes, it deletes valid email also when the mail is under suspection, which could lead to more user problems, they will upset, if any of their important mail gets deleted. Instead of deleting the mails, spam filters can be used that validates the mails against a spam database. The Black List can be prepared which rejects senders e-mail addresses. You can use masks using '*' and '?'. For example: *@domain.com, ?abc@domain.com, *.domain.com |
